è stato il tema su cui si sono confrontati docenti ed esperti del settore , oggi pomeriggio al
Santa Caterina , nel corso di un incontro
patrocinato dal Comune di Monreale in occasione della giornata internazionale della dislessia . Dopo il saluto istituzionale dell’Assessore comunale Letizia Sardisco sono intervenuti : Daniela Lo Cascio, esperta in Disturbi Specifici dell’ Apprendimento e vicepresidente dell’Associazione Centro Studi Internazionale MetaIntelligenze, il Psicoterapeuta Giovanni Ferraro e il Docente di Scienze Motorie Salvatore Lo Giudice.
I lavori sono stati coordinati da Daniela Balsano, docente di lettere. All’incontro hanno preso parte numerosi docenti e genitori che si sono confrontati sulle problematiche e le difficoltà affrontate nei percorsi educativi e della formazione dei ragazzi .L’obiettivo principale è stato quello di sensibilizzare la comunità monrealese sui disturbi specifici dell’apprendimento.
Presenti anche i rappresentati dell’Associazione CONVIVI L’Autismo.
“Non si tratta di un problema intellettivo – ha dichiarato l’assessore Letizia Sardisco- ma di un diverso funzionamento delle reti memoriali coinvolte nei processi di lettura e che può comportare insuccessi che generano scarsa autostima e disagio psicologico. Da qui l’importanza della diagnosi precoce e della sensibilizzazione sul tema. E su questo vogliamo lavorare per essere come istituzione punto di riferimento”.
