Sistemato tappetino bituminoso in via Cappuccini che verrà rimosso subito dopo la fine della prima tappa del Giro d’Italia, che partirà da Monreale il prossimo 3 ottobre. Al fine di proteggere il basolato storico è stato esteso un sistema di protezione, che permetterà anche ai ciclisti di percorrere il tratto in tutta sicurezza. Sul posto si trovano il sindaco Alberto Arcidiacono e l’assessore Geppino Pupella con i tecnici comunali che stanno monitorando i lavori. Si tratta di una copertura provvisoria. La richiesta e la proposta di intervento sono state avanzate da Rcs per la sicurezza dei ciclisti.
